Hawaiian Shirt 

In this assignment I had to design a Hawaiian Shirt. I was assigned to do the research on the history of the Hawaiian Shirt and its components. Also to design a pattern, buttons and a label.

As instructed i had to research about the Hawaiian shirt and create a similar design. I chose a common Hawaiian flower and illustrated for the shirt pattern.

Firstly, I placed the shirt and used pen tool to trace the parts of the shirt. by using different colour, it was easier to identify the different parts.

Afterwards I chose a flower and traced the flower for the pattern of the shirt. After i was satisfied with the trace, I added some gradient. Later i duplicated the flowers in different sizes.

I selected all the flower and used "Make Pattern" tool to make the pattern that i was using for filling the shirt. 

After i added the pattern i designed the button and placed them respectively on the shirt.

Finally after creating the buttons I designed the label by using the leaf tracing and the appropriate font, I named the brand as "Vibe Tribe" and placed it next to the leaf trace. I was also instructed to add the name of the shirt and my name. 

I had an amazing time completing the project. During the process I got a deeper understanding of  the tools in illustrator.
