CARLOS IN HUIS

Carlos in huis (Carlos at Home) is a very special interior design store, based in Deventer. Not only do they sell the finest deign furniture and advise you on your interior but they are also located in one of the most striking buildings in Deventer. A monumental building from 1896, that was once designed to be a bank but had not been in use for sevral years and needed much renovating.

We have followed and translated the entire transition from monument to store in a book in which the corporate color plays the leading role. The yellow of the cover is continued in the same shade on all sides of the book, creating one large minimalist, distinctive and solid block. 

The book is comprised of sevral interviews, a chapter on the building’s history, its metamorphosis to store, a ‘favorite’ series by Carlos himself and an overview of the beautiful design collection the building now hosts. A collection with a capital C ...
