I needed to create a soft and warm feeling annual report since Dorel is a family-oriented company. The second challenge was that the photos we were given were not cohesive, and some of the them had resolution issues. Also, the length of the copy-writing varied so it was necessary to create various layouts for each page.

To meet this challenge, I created a soft colour scheme throughout all page with two tones of light brown, and a light blue. Also, for uniqueness and family warmth, I applied a unique serif typeface paired with a sans-serif for legibility. The combination of thick serif and light sans serif not only worked well but also created a solid hierarchy.

To address the lack of cohesiveness of the photos, I created a diamond shape and horizontal lines, like blinds in a window at home, over most of the page to create consistency. I used the same grid for every page yet applied all different layouts for the purpose of each page. Therefore all the pages had different layouts but still maintain consistency between them.
