ICBL Public Service Poster

The International Campaign to Ban Landmines is a multi-national organization dedicated to finding and removing landmines from former war zones, where they still pose as a lethal threat to civilians. The poster is directed at Western audiences, who do not have to fear stepping on a landmine in their everyday life, unlike those in areas such as Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. The 'landmine' in this scenario is replaced by a common object in the West, in this case a thumbtack. Stepping on a tack would hurt, but ultimately, one would keep their limb afterwards.

There were not many parameters in the making of this poster, save for the size limitations of being less than 30 inches. The sneaker on the poster is my foot, taken by classmate Sean Matias.
