LOST CITY (Future scenario/ critical design/team work)

The LOST CITY project is to use a satiric way to stimulate public awareness of environmental problem.
For this project, we spend 2 weeks to interview people about what their imagination about future world, and we found out the majority of people were worried about the environment, but mostly in an abstract way. And also the environment was talked about using a lot of buzzwords but didn’t indicate substantial or significant interest or knowledge.

We use Miami as an example, LOST CITY is an eco-disaster tourism company established after Hurricane Evelyn hit Miami (not real). When Miami was destroyed and abandoned with no plans to rebuild, we decided to start this program as a way to explore these former settlements. ​​​​​​​
And also the concept is to use climate change as a profitable and growing business to earn mony and also thanks to rising sea levels and changes in our climate.

This part is for the Experience design.

You will find this selection of highly curated goods in your room when you arrive. Please experiment with them throughout your visit and feel yourself transported to the past!”
Our Miami Sensory Sampler includes local vintage seawater, seashells and sand along with a variety of taste and scent options to try.
