For this project, we had to make a type poster glorifying an inspirational famous woman. I am a huge fan of 20th century literature. Toni Morrison easily came to mind when I thought about famous women that inspired me. She wrote works that I personally recommend anyone to read, like Sula, Beloved, and especially The Bluest Eye. I decided to focus on her most famous (and arguably most important) novel The Bluest Eye, and took a very straightforward approach. I wanted the type to mimic an iris inside the eye. I had many different attempts with this project, and I think I have a solution that is eye-catching and unique.
