A project from 2015. This is a photo-realistic interpretation of the ancient mesoamerican god Quezalcoatl, its name comes from the Nahuatl language and means "feathered serpent", its design is based on multiple sculptures, drawings and descriptions of the deity as well as an amalgam of several kinds of reptile skins, jade scales and quetzal feathers.
Modeled and texturized in ZBrush, shaded and animated in 3DS Max.
