America has a gun violence epidemic that is unique in the world. It’s not about finding one big, innovative, disruptive idea, but about finding plenty of them to help to keep the pressure on. Fight Gunfire with Fire wanted good ideas to overwhelm the problem.
Insights
- Our research showed that most Americans don't have any interest in changing the current gun low
- Every day in the US, nine kids are just shot unintentionally and 900 children and teens take their own
lives every year - they're almost all with a parent's gun
- Even two-thirds of school shootings happen with a gun taken from the home
Solution
For this campaign we have chosen to focus on the importance of safe gun storage at home. We hope that this awareness will decrease gun-related accidents among children.
The message is simple and strong: Keep Your Gun Safe!
