ELDERBERRY POND STUDIO
Brief: To design an identity for an artists studio and greeting card business.
The client placed importance on the logo being suitable for signage, packaging, print, and web. The inspiration for the logo initially came from a story the client recounted about the daily battles she was having with a bird stealing berries from her garden. Research was undertaken to look at different bird breeds and to understand how elderberries grow. Further inspiration was taken from looking at the work of typographer Bruce Rogers and Fraktur folk art from Pennsylvania.
