Kløften Festival is a small, local festival based in Haderslev, Denmark. The aim for the festival was to create a new visual identity to attract the younger people (mainly the 15-25 year old) to join the 3 days of music.
- Kløften Festival attract adults, families and high school students
- It is the party of the year in Haderslev
I have created an identity with inspiration from the words; handmade, variability and creativity, with the collage-style as a symbol of these words. The collage contains hand drawing elements, black and white photographs and geometric shapes in playful colors.
The main focus in this project is the poster and the layout of the music program.
It was important to create a program as clear and simple as possible, to make it easy for the audience to navigate the festival, find places, times and artists. I have exclusively used Helvetica and used text as a layout element.
The main focus of the poster is to draw attention to the artists and festival. It is the first thing the audience will see, so the goal is to make people buy tickets for the festival. I have used the same typography and elements in the poster as I used in the program to keep a consistency in the design.
My goal is to rebrand the festival and change the expression to a more modern, creative festival to catch the attention of the young audience. I want to make them motivated and excited in taking part in the festival and make it a yearly tradition.
