Art Basel Conversations Series Features Engaging Dialog

The owner of DeWitt PLLC, a private law practice in Miami, Suzanne DeWitt possesses extensive experience in international private banking and cross-border taxation. Also the principal of the tax consulting firm Valora, Suzanne DeWitt enjoys art festivals in her spare time, such as Miami Beach’s annual Art Basel event.

A large-scale traveling art exhibition, Art Basel showcases modern and contemporary artwork across a variety of media, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, and films. In addition to the exhibitions, Art Basel includes a discussion series called Conversations, which brings together an international array of artists, collectors, art historians, curators, museum directors, and art critics.

Offered at no cost to participants, the 2018 Art Basel Conversations program included sessions about producing, collecting, and exhibiting art, as well as discussions about how societal trends, such as feminist movements and new technologies, influence the art world. Mari Spirito, founding director of Protocinema in Istanbul, Turkey, organized the Conversations programming for the fourth consecutive year.
