This project was for my Introduction to Illustration class. We were asked to choose a historical figure from a list of six and illustrate them to be geared towards middle school students who might have this hanging in their school to honor the historical figure. 

I chose Marie Antoinette, and wanted to challenge myself with making her beheading more age-appropriate and conceptual. Color palette is inspired by the colors selected from the moodboard. The body and head are two separate reference images and everything is HAND VECTORED, which means no live trace and no copy/paste/flipping of any shapes that I made. Hope you enjoy!
