    Bunraku Pirate Puppets
We were approached to produce some pirate puppets for a corporate event unfortunately we cant talk much about it, but we had loads of fun making them. The build was a turnaround of a few weeks. The style of the puppets is called Bunraku, originating from Japan and will be puppeteered by three people. The armatures underneath the period costumes are made from foam and reinforced plastic. The faces of the puppets were sculpted to look like the individual actors that are also playing the Pirates. We have the well known black beard, Anne Bonny and the English gentleman pirate Stede Bonnet. Everything was bespoke and made from scratch by the talented makers here at Stitches and Glue. Moulded tricorn hats and period frock coats.
