2014 begegnete ich zum ersten Mal der Compagnia Carlo Colla & Figli. Vom ersten Moment an war ich begeistert von diesen stillen, bescheidenen, kunstfertigen Menschen aus Mailand. Damals beschloss ich – koste es, was es wolle – eine filmische Dokumentation über diese Künstlergruppe, ihre Geschichte, ihre Motive, ihre Puppen zu drehen. 2016 begann ich mit den Dreharbeiten. In der Zwischenzeit hat sich das Projekt auf einen thematischen Fixpunkt hin entwickelt. Die „Collas” werden im Mai eine Programm zeigen „Poesia della Meccanica” – die Poesie der Mechanik. Hier verknüpfen sie drei Themen: den Tod des zeitweiligen Bewohners Mailands, Leonardo da Vinci, vor 500 Jahren, die Gründung des Bauhauses vor 100 Jahren in Weimar und die Geschichte ihrer Kunst zu erzählen. In diesem Jahr wird der Film fertiggestellt.

In 2014 I met the Compagnia Carlo Colla & Figli for the first time. From the very first moment I was enthusiastic about these quiet, modest, skilful people from Milan. At that time I decided to make a film documentary about this group of artists, their history, their motifs, their dolls. I started shooting in 2016. In the meantime, the project has developed towards a thematic fixed point. The "Collas" will show in May a program "Poesia della Meccanica" - the poetry of mechanics. Here they link three themes: the death of the temporary inhabitant of Milan, Leonardo da Vinci, 500 years ago, the founding of the Bauhaus 100 years ago in Weimar and the history of their art to tell. The film will be completed this year.
