ROSTOV ARENA
The Rostov Arena is a football stadium located in the city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
The stadium was part of the headquarters of the 2018 Soccer World Cup and has a total capacity of 43 thousand 702 seated spectators. The stadium is used by FC Rostov, the football club of the city, to play their matches at home. The stadium was inaugurated on April 15, 2018 with a league match between Rostov and SKA Khabarovsk. In 2011, the final design for the new stadium was presented by Populous. The irregular shape of the roof and the stands are distinctive features. Part of the seats will be temporary, for the 2018 World Cup. Then, the total capacity of 45 thousand spectators for the tournament will be reduced to approximately 35 thousand.
