Wall Mural - Painting

Wall Murals
The first time I had painted directly on the all was for my brother who made the request that I draw and paint Bruce Lee (an idol for both of us) on his bedroom wall. I didnt want to use a grid to draw bruce lee and did the outlines completely freehand. I only used lines to align the text. I used an earlier skecth I drew a while back as a reference for my larger scaled project.
It has taken me a 4 hours to complete my homage to Bruce Lee. I'm glad to say that my brother and many guests who have viewed it have given their thumbs.
I took this picture to illustrate the scale of the painting and how it has taken over most of the bedroom wall.
Another project was for my own room, which I given a Japanese theme to. I fitted on strips of wood to make a grid directly on my wall and painted the squares like a canvas, so that I could start painting within them.

On the Opposing wall I have created a mirrored Grid using wooden strips, and have painted a japanese bonsai tree using acrylic paints.
