Nordic Designers Aid is a Danish non-profit organisation that sells discarded designer clothing in order to raise funds for causes in South Africa. We had the opportunity of working with them during one of their fundraiser events* in Somerset West. We were asked to design a banner that explains what their cause is all about.
The challenge here was that the client wanted a large amount of copy. We wanted to avoid using type, so the lettering was done by hand using black ink and a small paintbrush.
Colour was added digitally to make key words stand out and to help the banner design tie in with the client's brand identity.
*Unfortunately this design ended up not being used for the event, but I have included it in my portfolio since I still consider it one of my best and personal favourite designs.
