The challenge
Everything started with an idea: a local startup, supported financially by an important
construction company, thought about building a mobile app that teaches the user everything they need to know in order to build their dream house. When they contacted me, they already had an Android app, however it was greatly non-optimal, with chunky user flows, unpleasant visuals, and quite different from what they had in mind. They also wanted to launch it on the App Store.
The process
A brand new app to guide users in everything home-related
A month into the research, architecture and design phase, and everything felt different: the new application was fun to use, a lot more modern, based on a card-like learning structure. The entire development was filled with good time, interesting workshops, creative ideas and a lot of usability testing.
Along with the product team, I was happy to see how the app raised in ranks and the user feedback improved drastically for the interaction and experience: after only three weeks after launch on the App Stores, it reached no 4 in Top Free Productivity Apps and in a continuous raise on Top Free Apps, getting the app on a fast track to success.
