A favorite of star chef David Bouley, Oriental Garden sorely needed a web presence–and a sophisticated one at that.

Several requirements had to be met: in addition to a website that exemplified its understated class, the client needed a way to cleanly showcase the restaurant’s extensive menus, as guests frequently requested up-to-date digital versions of them.  They also needed a simple, cost-effective way to accept reservations online, having decided that OpenTable was not for them.
The restaurant’s decor is cozy yet vibrant at the same time–an ambiance deserving of being promoted.  So to simulate the feeling of being in the restaurant, photos of the decor were integrated into the website’s design–faded into the background.
Menus are cleanly displayed in digestible tables, with PDF versions readily accessible, and a simple e-mail form provides customers with a no-frills way to reserve a table at the restaurant and/or to coordinate events and private parties with the managers.
Managers of Oriental Garden have reported a noticeable increase in business via online reservations since the launch of the website in 2010.
