Golface store - Online booking service for golfers

Golface store is a whole new channel for golfers to book the tee time at anytime. In the other hand, the course doesn't have to be worried about how to sell the open tee time after work hour anymore by providing the information to Golface. All the users will see the promotion price with each course and decide which course they want to play in the next day.

球友透過Golface store 手機app及網頁即可在任何時間預定擊球。球場只需把空閒的時段登錄到網上,不需要預先繳交任何費用,也不避擔心下班後誰可以幫球場接受預約。








Background

This service started as "late bird promotion tickets platform" for golfers before Golface store.  The first three cooperating golf courses put the unsold tickets to Late-bird website in the last moment. Late bird website stimulated the purchase through factors such as "Countdown" "how many people are looking at" "special price" on the page. 

This business model was supported by cooperating golf courses. As a result of that, Golface decided to upgrade the service for more tickets and canceled the late-bird limits. In addition, the number of golf courses has also increased to more than 20. Golface store is available on three platforms at the same time, including App store, google play store and the website.



背景

Golface store的前身是晚鳥服務網站,最初合作的三家球場將隔天尚未售出的場次上架至晚鳥服務網站,透過頁面上「時間倒數」、「目前多少人觀看」、「優惠價」等因素刺激球友購買。因商業模式獲得合作球場認同,Golface決定將服務提升為不僅限隔日的擊球預約平台,並將合作球場業務擴展至20家以上,同時推出iOS app、Android app及網頁版服務。










*Browsing courses 探索球場


"Browsing courses" is an essential feature of golface store. Golfers can find their favorite ones from current activities, recommend courses, selected packages, and area category.

*Searching  搜尋功能


"Searching" is the most popular behavior after I observed the back-end data. This feature is executed up to 43% on Golface store. What's more, 7.79% of them have completed the purchasing funnels in the last month!
It's available to search by region, number of people, date, etc. Furthermore, the searching results can be filtered and sorted by several requirements.

透過後台數據觀測此為球友最常使用的功能,整體來說執行搜尋的比例高達43%,且過去一個月中有7.79%的比例在執行搜尋後成交!球友可透過區域、人數、日期等搜尋條件,快速搜出想要的時段,並可透過「篩選」及「排序功能」輔助挑選。








*Purchase flow  購票流程



"Purchase flow" is simplified into three steps. The current price is always showed clearly on every page. To speed up the purchase flow, Golface store provides apple pay and credit card. 



結帳流程

結帳被簡化成三個頁面,即時結帳金額會顯示在每一頁的下方確保球友安心交易。為了加速流程,Golfacest store提供Apple pay 和信用卡付款。



*User Profile  個人資料頁


Golfers can manage accounts, passwords and stored credit cards on the profile page. By sharing their promotion code to friends, both of them will earn coupons.



個人資料

可管理用戶帳號、密碼及儲存的信用卡外,透過分享個人的註冊連結給朋友,雙方都可以得到購物金。









UX Strategy

After interviewing early adopters, I found it is common for golfers who made the reservation have a temporary impossibility to make it on time. In this case, the non-refundable issue becomes a huge obstacle to stop golfers trying golface store. After discussion by golface team and communication with all corporating golf courses, we decided to develop the "transfer booking function" in the next iteration. The golfers who can not attend can transfer the booking to others.

In addition,  golfers often ask customer service to modify the time or the number of people, we decided to develop "time change", "people amount change" and "refound" functions. As the booking time is close, golfers who refund at different statements will also charge a different processing fee.

To enhance the trust of users, we not only operate brand image online and offline but also add a description of encryption on the purchase page.


經過訪談前期用戶後,得知球友經常會發生臨時無法到場的情況,也因原本的機制無法退票成了球友訂購的阻力,經團隊討論並與所有合作球場溝通後,下一階段的迭代先開發「轉贈功能」,讓無法到場的球友能將訂購的時段轉讓給其他朋友。

此外,因實務上常發生球友來電要求修改時段、人數等狀況,在下一階段開發「更改時段」、「更改人數」及「退票」等功能。隨著預訂的開球時間接近,在不同時間點退票的球友也會收取不同比例的手續費。

針對用戶對結帳流程安全顧慮的部分,除了在線上、線下經營品牌形象外,也在刷卡介面上加上加密技術的敘述。






*Transfer bookings  轉贈訂單


Transfer booking is the new function for iteration. Golfers can transfer their bookings in unexpected situations.

第一次迭代推出的新功能,如球友發生無法到場擊球時,可以將票券傳送給其他球友。




*Refund  申請退款




Refund is the function launched in the next iteration. Golfers can see their current refund plan on the tickets. They can also check the whole refund plans on the following page. The initial checkout amount and refund fee will be listed clearly.

為下一次迭代推出的功能,購買票券上會顯示目前用戶所適用的退款方案,點開也可觀看不同時間點的退票方案,結帳金額及手續費都會一一條列在退款頁面。
