The children of the Industrial Revolution. The Gula series seems to whistle the end of a game without a referee. Massive infrastructure plays a subtle double game between strong presence and transparency, as if wanting to apologise for still being there. Apparently unproductive and therefore useless, and swinging between nostalgia and hope. The announcement in chiaroscuro of a new day?
Gula / Industrie à la retraite (2013)
Les enfants de la Révolution Industrielle. La série Gula semble siffler la fin d’une partie sans arbitre. Les infrastructures massives jouent un double jeu subtil entre forte présence et transparence, comme si elles voulaient s’excuser d’être encore là. Apparemment inutiles car improductives et balançant entre nostalgie et espoir. L’annonciation en clair obscur d’un jour nouveau ?
