Folly Theater Performance Posters

The goal of this poster series for the Folly Theater jazz performances was not only to inform the viewer of the necessary information but to reimagine how jazz was depicted.
I used 3D modeling to construct the instruments used by the performers as a background for each poster. The instruments are scattered about and lit with vibrant colors as a way to show the colorful energy of jazz. Paired with a simple grid and modern typography, the composition combines complexity with simplicity.
Using the 3D modeled instruments, I explore how this information might exist in the form of a motion graphic. The composition is consistent with poster but with the addition of motion and dynamic camera movement.
