As a regular at these events, I found I could really use an app that would let me quickly see where the art events were each weekend (and where), and since the Illinois Arts Council has this information (but no app) I pitched the concept to them.
The IAC has all the data needed listed in their annual directory and on their website, but there was no way to quickly search by date or location.
This app was designed with art event fans in mind, and allows users to find events on a particular day, or by zip code/location. It also provides access to a list of events for the whole year so users can plan ahead. In addition, the app links to a map for each event and each event's producer website for additional details.
