Part 2 to 3 of my February 2019 art installation based off public answers to the subject of companionship and unique views on the Valentines holiday. In this illustration I focused around some answers about spending time to yourself, loving yourself, and putting your own needs and comfort above others around you. There’s a lot going on in the illustration to show not only the personality of this character but their relationship with themselves and their body.
You can see them through the mirror but they’re not fixated with their own reflection, instead they’re relaxing and comfortable with who they are. On their phone you can see a bunch of texts from friends and ‘a love interest’, but they aren’t whats important right now and she isn’t going out her way to call off her alone time to reply or engage. Sometimes you prefer a little me time.
