Celtic Faberge Egg
The Brief was to produce a Faberge egg based on a historical period which can be opened to reveal a 'treasure' I chose to base mine on the Pictish tribes of Britannia (BC) with influence from the Anglo Saxon's and Norsemen of the dark ages.
The Faberge Egg resembles the head and shoulders of a Celtic noble. Wearing a pelt across his shoulders, pinned together by Bronze brooches with Celtic Triads. He wears a Conical helmet with chain mail and eye protection which extends over his face, obscuring it.
When Opened, the egg reveals a Celtic stone cross atop a mound, which I hand engraved with religious imagery of the time. The cross is surrounded by tiny weapons from the times of the Roman Empire all the way to the 15th century/ late middle ages.

At the foot of the cross (centre) The Gladius of a Roman Legionary, to the right, a Pictish Short sword, the left, a Scottish Greatsword. To the left of the cross, a Bardiche, further left, a Javeline. To the right a Dane axe (blade is facing away from the camera) and a Bec De Corbin  or 'Pole hammer' from the early 14th century.

Anglo Saxon Helmet

I came up with 'Daeg Helma' which is old English for 'Time Helm', A decorative Saxon helmet embellished with a series of images depicting key events in the Anglo Saxon timeline. It would appear to be made out of Iron with bronze reinforcements and a golden crest, nose guard and eyes.

Celtic Dagger (Personal Project)
I used some spare material from my Time machine project to make this ornamental Celtic Parrying dagger, im proud to say that I sculpted the hilt, guard and weaved all of the knot work myself.
