Tiffany Gilbert's profile

Big Brand New Products

I have been approached by a company X to design a brochure, promoting their new product line. It isn't a full catalogue, but rather an overview of a new line of products that are coming to retailers in Fall 2019. It was up to me to conceptualize, design and deliver a new brochure that is as creative as I can possibly imagine, while effectively informing the potential customer of these new products.

However, there is more to this project than just designing. Because I have creative and financial freedom, it was up to me to also be creative on the brochure dimensions, the paper stock you select, custom printing techniques you use (ex: spot gloss, foil, translucent paper, embossed, die cut, special folds... etc)

DETAILS/GUIDELINES/REQUIREMENTS:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Brochure dimensions: Your choice - get creative! There are samples in the studio for
    inspiration - just ask!
2. 12-20 pages, excluding the front and back cover.
3. Must include:
- TOC (Table of Contents)
- Company Mission/Overview/History;
- At least 7 products featured throughout
- You are encouraged to use one or more custom printing techniques, but don't overload
   with all of them.
- at least one (1) diecut feature to this design
- setup and use Paragraph, Character and Objects styles where possible. This refers to
ALL headers, body copy and similar object styles on photos/other graphic elements
- utilize Master pages for elements that will be repetitive throughout your design
- Product shots will have to be collected from online resources, so pick the company that
has a larger selection of medium to high-res product photos available
- Each product spread(s) should have a similar look, but not exact. Try different colour
    schemes, reversed layouts...

This project was completed as part of the McKenzie College Graphic Design program. The client it represents is either fictional or was selected at random and did not endorse this work.
