National Art Student Conference 2017

This logo concept and visual identity was a project promoted by my Art Faculty at the University of Pécs. In 2017 the Hungarian National Art Student Conference (hun: Országos Művészeti Diákköri Konferancia; short: OMDK) was to be held in Pécs. This is a biennial event which takes place at different art schools of the country with the aim of providing a platform for art students to meet and compete.
The competition itself has numerous categories, just to mention a few: design, painting, sculpture, music, cinematography, art history and so on. All these different fields of art still share a sense of metaphysics in common. The logo has both constant and variable elements, which symbolize classic values, also innovation and diversity. Through creating a dynamic visual identity, application of design elements on objects such as a catalogue, programme guide, posters or merchandise helps to keep its appearance interesting.
