The increasing level of consumerism of products is turning to be a major issue in the world. The massification of products and its implication in the world sustainability causes humans to appreciate products that have a personality and are respectful of the environment.

This is the concept behind DERU, a brand started by two entrepreneurs wanting to reveal honest products and sell them to a wider audience.

Concept.

Deru is a platform for products that outlast the presence of time, that fight wastefulness and ephemerality. A curation of unique and long-lasting objects from the best artisans and brands.

Striving for a deep connection with humans and its environment, the brand values sustainability & fair trade. Objects that represent a story from its artisans, the passioned people behind the making of the products.













Brand.

Our strategy was to build a brand that was consistent, neutral and longlasting. The intention was to give more protagonism on the products that are shown, so the identity is only the structure behind the brand.

We also wanted to recognise the client's DNA, with visual allusions to Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. Characters such as sustainability, quality, minimalism and purity are blended into the brand identity.

As an online business, the client required a strong digital journey to engage with their target - savvy clients who seek for the most unique products.

Our strategy was to showcase inspiring stories about the products, with appealing interactions and compelling images.

Fluid, dynamic and video oriented, the platform is built to lead the clients to discover their needs, while building a strong community of design aficionados that value sustainability and fair trade.

The inclusion of the blog helps to promote the stories behind these amazing brands while unveiling fresh brands from Tokio, Seoul, Copenhagen and Barcelona.
