The Upstate of South Carolina is scattered with abandon businesses and homes. Though many of these places are empty, few are filled with items left behind. These “Remaining” items give clues to the lives of the people who once lived or worked there. The “Remaining” is a  photo essay that explores abandon buildings, history and the lives behind the people that have left these items.
