REBRANDING VISUAL IDENTITY
Dettol Antiseptic Liquid
An iconic home essential for generations, Dettol Antiseptic Liquid is a holistic use product used for protection against germs that has been recommended by medical professionals and trusted by mothers. Dettol Antiseptic Liquid removes germs from skin, safeguards from infections caused by cuts and scratches and can also be used as household disinfectant on home surfaces and in laundry.
For the creation of logo, I researched official website of Dettol and some other useful resources. Dettol brand was started more than 80 years ago. The long legacy of the brand is what inspired to add a classical shape in the logo, for a retro-modern feel. the abstract shape is a mixture of open scroll which is done for its timelessness, and liquid; which is the physical state of the product. The sans-serif typeface “Agency FB”is used in the wordmark for readability.
As Dettol is a medical antiseptic product, it is choosed to be represented in cool colours, for the comfort of the consumer. There are two shades of green and one shade of blue.These colour schemes are used in the entire branding. The colours represents the healing and loyal part of the brand.
The most popular sans serif font “Arial” is used in the entire design of the brand, excluding the part of the wordmark.
The brand patterns created to support the product’s visual language.
