Rock the Troops Broadcast and Promo Package

ROCK THE TROOPS BROADCAST PACKAGE
This sizzle cut features several of the assets created for the campaign and how they were integrated into the pieces. Footage that was shot at the even was provided and used in the integration of the show open which I also helped edit.
The team and I worked on several variations of the show opening title and build using a 3D pipeline mixed with 2D stylized final look. I wanted to create a flat style with 3D perspective and several layers. The original logo for the event was similar to a flag design so we stuck with the essential parts of what makes a great flag. The colors, the design, and the texture were the main focus points. I had so much fun working on new ideas and concepts and while a lot of them made it onscreen there were several more that were just as amazing that became a part of the archives.
Usually I don't end up running both the broadcast and promo packages but since the team at Spike loved the look so much they asked for both to be done by my team. I enjoyed coming up with new pipelines and ways to achieve an iconic look for the graphics which have lead to many more opportunities for me and my team. This look was achieved using Cinema 4D, Sketchup, After Effects, Mixamo, and Fuse.
Characters came from Mixamo and an early version of Fuse before it was called that by Adobe. They had just released some way to link your Adobe account when I was working on this project. So I put it to work to the fullest. Some keyframes were adjusted from the FBXs that were saved out and the final composite was more about the silhouettes so I could look past the rough materials that came with the models. I even spent some time customizing avatars to look like Dwayne Johnson or at least the silhouette of him for the promo package.
