Kuhaku

A project centered around the practice of ikebana and Zen philosophy to 
ease the stress and pressures experienced by working adults in Singapore.

The concept of the project is based of one of the Zen principles, Kanso
Kanso signifies beauty through simplicity and the elimination of excess.

packaging
The packaging comes in 3 variants, named Shin, Soe, Hikae. It symbolises the triangular structure which is formed in ikebana. Each of the three variants tackle a stress symptom, one which is emotional, physical and cognitive. 

The packaging comes in two parts. The top part holds the kit tools and publication. 
The wooden base hold a tea cup and is used as a vase for ikebana after. 
By doing this, it eliminates the use of excessive space within the packaging.

publication
Publication comes in two parts and are separated by height. The smaller book contains information and explanation about the selected tea and flower combination. The larger books contains general knowledge about Zen and Ikebana.

instruction manual
A step by step instruction on how to create an ikebana. It comes along with the packaging.
