Elevator pitch: Hi there! My name is Sage Walcott, I am a student animator at Purdue University. I have had an idea for an animated music video that features the Sonic the Hedgehog character, Rouge the Bat, singing to Meghan Trainor's "Me Too". I think it could be a great way to connect with girls who may not be confident in themselves. If you would like to talk about that idea with me I will give you my info and we can discuss it right away!
Tagline: Baby I’m beautiful!
Look and feel: Darker background with bright colors on the body showing a “stand out” kind of feel. There will be a lot of camera work to make optical illusions and focus on important parts of the animation. Any side characters will be drawn in a smaller perspective in order to show the confidence of the main character.
Plot: Rouge the Bat (an anthropomorphic Bat) Sings along to “Me Too”. She addresses the audience before an optical illusion shows she was singing to a mirror. She will keep singing to the song and gain a following of other characters before ending on a confidant smirk.
