Year Of The Pig (Kỷ Hợi 2019)
Tet is considered to be the most important event in Viet Nam. People celebrate Tet with many traditional customs such as visiting a person’s house on the first day of the year (xông nhà), giving lucky money to children,… Tet is also an occasion for family reunions in which they will gather for a feast of Vietnamese dishes, giving each other wishes for a better year. Only prepared to spread happiness and pleasure in such occasion, “Kỷ Hợi 2019” is a special set of hand-crafted greeting cards using linoprint technique to remind people of the nostalgic Vietnamese culture.
Three greeting cards evoke three different vibes of Tet: traditional but equally modern, poetic but joyfully entertaining, and elegant but strikingly vibrant. That is what this set of greeting cards is meant to be.
Behind the scene
Being new to using lino printing as well as to designing an actual product, I have completely exposed myself to the process and have dwelled into the experience I have never had.
