Amber & Oak Bar Table

A rotted and spalted 9' slab of oak found new life as a bar table.  The oak was encased in just under 8 gallons of Total Boat epoxy mixed with an Amber dye.  This allows for the delicate architecture of the slab to be preserved and admired for generations.  The varied natural elements of the slab encased in a rigid rectilinear solid speaks of the duality of the world in which we live.  A custom welded steel base with satin black powdercoat completes the minimal look.
