I was commissioned to create a work of public art for the new building of the Zakaria Education Centre in Dewsbury. The original composition can be found in the 13th century Bou Inania madrasa in Meknes. Using waterjet cutting technology, it became possible to scale up the composition and to use a different range of colours. 

I wanted to make a composition that would appeal to all generations, I wanted to take this 13th century composition and present it in such a way that it would also look at home in the 21st century.
