THE GIFT OF SEEING

THE GIFT OF SEEING
After 4 years of suffering from not taking any pictures, due to severe artist block symptoms, i decided to finally make one of my dreams come true: Travel solo to Paris on my birthday, with a camera and a notebook. Approx. 38,687 steps, saw FREAKSHOW by Jean Paul Gaultier (unfortunately no pictures were allowed to be taken but I wanted to mention the show), having my own Midnight in Paris moments while walking in the rain, without an umbrella or a destination. While walking all day and night, I naturally started taking pictures again, like I used to. And I couldn't stop.
In the city of love, surrounded by young and old couples, I fell in love with myself again. In the city of light, I started seeing again, the way i used to see the world. In the city of art, I got inspired and felt like i finally belonged somewhere.

When I went to Jean Paul Gaultier's Freakshow, i celebrated my identity.
It was so refreshing to feel alive, proud, inspired and a sense of belonging.

It is so important to surround yourself with people, things and happenings that accept you for who you are. I remembered who I Am.
