Workshop Illustration
This workshop was illustrated with the theme of "Evil Elves" in mind. The workshop is less Christmas-themed and features more of the somber and old tones you'd expect in a dwarf cavern/lair instead of a happy Christmas den. I imagined it as each elf requiring a separate station for a separate job. I used cold lighting from unseen overhead windows to suggest the traditional environment of the elves.
Sleeping Child Illustration
This illustration was done with the idea of a child being "frozen in time," using lighting to suggest and ancient magical freeze while still maintaining the rosy nature of a living child. This image features custom-created text boxes, used to relegate the text creatively while still keeping to the overall them of Christmas whimsy. The text boxes were inspired by Christmas ornaments and ink flourishes.
Somber Santa Illustration
This image was done to represent a Santa disillusioned with Christmas cheer while still having to fulfill his duties as Santa Clause. This image also features customized text boxes.
