Leagues Feature
How might we offer an engaging solo experience for the subset of players who don't enjoy our social features.
Overview
Common in many mid-to hardcore titles, Leagues are fixed duration competitions throughout the collections seasons where players compete with others based on a certain criteria - in our case, earning points (medals) through spinning.
Leagues will be an exciting addition with a number of benefits
1. Adds an underlying purpose to spinning by introducing tangible goals (bracket targets, status, exclusive rewards) users can shoot for.
2. Synergies with our collection/ cosmetic system, introducing another means of earning exclusive cosmetics and serving as another outlet to enable users to prominently display their status and showcase their cosmetics.
3. Gives competitive players uninterested in Clubs a reason to engage more, and makes individual efforts meaningful for players relying on their club mates.
