Every year Johnson County Community College puts on five student plays and pairs with the Graphic Design department to create posters for them. Sight Unseen is a play about a man who’s made it big in the art world, yet still feels uneasy about his identity and place in the world and thus makes a visit to see the woman he rejected years earlier. In this poster I wanted to emphasize the emptiness and uncertainty of the main character as well as his tendency to try to find himself through the external influences of art and romantic relationship, rather than by examining his inner demons.
