This last weekend, March 15 - 17, was the US Coffee Championships in Kansas City, MO. I was apart of the Sprudge, an online coffee news source, team that weekend. I was their illustrator for the weekend. Drawing what I saw in the space that day and ended their posts for that day on Instagram.
This is of the barista competition stage. Kickstarting the weekend with first round of competitions in Cup Tasters, Brewer's, Roaster's, Coffee in Good Spirits, and Barista.
A space within the Grand Ballroom was the roaster village where you could drink coffee from some of the best Roaster's around the country and talk about anything.
Along with the many coffee to be had there was also 3 tea companies in the space. Rishi, Spirit, and Hugo Tea Co. It was a nice balance between all of the coffee that was consumed.
