How far have we come with improving mother care?
There’s been a steady decline in maternal mortality, thanks in part to the higher number of births attended by skilled health professionals. But what are a woman’s chances of surviving childbirth now and how does living in countries such as India and Kenya affect her chances?
This animated visualization shows that we’re on the right track, but we still have some way to go in making childbirth safe for all women. Its launch could coincide with Global Financing Facility fundraising for maternal health in November 2018.
