Betsey Johnson Limited Edition KidRobot
This is a limited edition KidRobot, inspired by American fashion designer Betsey Johnson. The concept for the packaging is a handbag, featuring vibrant colors and bold patterns extracted from her fashion designs. KidRobot's MunnyWorld dolls are blank slates, which allow artists to decorate them as they wish. For this project, we were asked to step into the shoes of a designer of our choice and design both a KidRobot figure and the packaging for this figure as if that designer were commisioned to work with KidRobot him/herself.

Like lipstick on the mouth, my products wake up and brighten and bring the wearer to life... drawing attention to her beauty and specialness...her moods and movements... her dreams and fantasies.
Each robot in this limited edition of only 25 is handcolored by myself and comes fully equipped with its own lipstick weapon accessory.
I might be a little bit older than one, but I still consider myself a kid at heart. Although fashion is my passion, designing for KidRobot was an incredible experience that reminded me of what it's like to be a kid again.
