Madhubani art or Mithila painting was traditionally created by the women of various communities in mithila region of the Indian subcontinent.

Madhubani art themes represented mainly Religion, God, Goddesses, Plantae, Animalia, daily life and symbols in their paintings. Generally no space is left empty; the gaps are filled with paintings of flowers, animals, birds and even geometric designs. In Mithila,  Painting was one of the skills that is passed on from generations to generations by women in the family.

Here I have tried to mix Madhubani concepts and modernise the art to depict womanhood, self care and to say embrace yourself by doing what you love to do.
