This project was an exercise in book cover design. Completed for an assignment in a History of Graphic Design class, this piece was inspired by Bauhaus sensibilities. In the climax of 1984 the state tortures the main character in "Room 101," their most horrific torture room, in order to break his spirit. This illustration depicts the approach toward Room 101, and is designed to stand out on store shelves and draw the viewer's eye to the title.
