SESC Na Virada Cultural was a project done during an internship at SESC (Serviço Social do Comércio) in 2015. The Virada Cultural is an annual event in São Paulo, which promotes cultural engagement through the organization of several artistic numbers, exhibitions, and workshops around the city throughout a weekend. In the past decade, the Virada Cultural has had a significant growth both in number of venues and scheduled attractions around São Paulo, which prompted organizations like SESC to work with the city hall administration in supporting the expansion of the event, seeing that SESC owns several buildings that are already equipped to host small to medium sized attractions, due to the nature of its work.
This project involved designing graphic materials to promote the attractions that SESC would host in partnership with the main event: schedules, guides, informational slips, signage, stage dressing, and posters. Some (non-exhaustive) examples of pieces that were designed in this effort are showcased below.
