On-the-go Cereal

As a part of our packaging design project, we wanted to create something that would aid our increasingly mobile and fast paced lifestyles. Something that struck us was the fact that a large portion of the indian population skips their breakfast due to time constraints. Since a lot of families consider cereal to be a healthy breakfast option, we decided to create a packaging for cereal and milk that one could consume on the move.

After a brief initial research, which involved interviews and observing how people went about consuming their cereal, these were the primary restrictions we were working with.

1. No spill packaging - The pack should be easy to open, regardless of the user walking, sitting or being on a bus. This should be achievable without having to put the pack down on a surface.
2. Controlled milk quantity - While some like their cereal drenched in milk, the others added it gradually in smaller quantities. This meant that the pack should allow the user to add only as much milk as they desire.
The asceptic milk packaging can preserve milk up to 6 months. (All quantites mentioned above are recommended serving sizes)
An example to show how branding could possibly be applied on the pack.
