CreativeMornings San Francisco

A free event for the creative community.

Human connections, early cups of coffee, and generosity are some of the few things CreativeMornings (CM) looks to spread in the world. CM is a free monthly breakfast series that exists in 197 cities throughout 68 countries worldwide. Between 200-300 people come together on an early Friday once a month to hear local voices speak about a global theme, while meeting new city neighbors and brightening up their morning with coffee and donuts.

I stumbled upon Creative Mornings in New York City six years ago – it was my monthly ritual, sign up, go for an inspiring talk, shake up my creativity and share with others some learnings. When I moved to San Francisco 3 years ago, I was looking to find my community and CM was my first stop.

Since then I’ve been involved with the SF chapter as Co-host, where we’ve curated, led and executed 30 events with more than 7,500 attendees in different locations and speakers from different backgrounds. Because everyone is creative, everyone is welcome!

As part of this hobby / passion project, I’ve met talented artists, made lasting friends, built a team of passionate volunteers and further developed leadership skills. It has pushed me to speak in front of large groups, that previously I’d never had the courage to do so, and play and experiment with fun ideas to uplift the San Francisco creative community.

It is an extremely rewarding experience, to both facilitate these gatherings, interactions and engagements among the attendees, as well as my continued personal growth by understanding San Francisco as a city of multiple backgrounds and untold stories by unique creative leaders.
