This is my narrative project that I created. In this piece I incorporated a part of my life and people that I truly love. My friends are always important to me and I try to symbolize them a lot in my art. The the story being told in this piece is that there is a group of friends that are in a candy store and are just having a great time. The three foxes represent me and my two best friends. One of my friends got me a stuffed animal dog for Valentine’s Day and that’s how I got the fox idea. Now that stuffed animal has a paper crown that is yellow and that’s why around the fox in the lower right there are crowns. The sun that is near get us to symbolize how she is my sunshine, which is also one of her nicknames. Her favorite candy is 100 grand. My other friends is the one that is on the top left. One of favorite kinda of candy is Reese’s; I call her my other half and so that’s why she is by my side. I think that there is balance and unity in this piece because I think that over all there is not one side that overpowers the other. I also think that there is unity because everything goes together and fits well. The writing fits with the overall story and I really like that. The strengths I think are the shading and the growth I think is also the shading because I got better at going to darker and showing shadows. Overall I really like this piece because it shows an important part of my life and everything in it symbolizes all the important things in my friendship. It shows that they will always be there no matter what, and will always have love. The love is showed in the hearts that can be seen on the shelf and also on my wrist/paw(the one that’s in a jumping motion). The candy is something that I love very much but the words that are on it are showing that the friendship between us is better.
