Poster Design Challenge 2019
So I decided to jump on a poster design challenge. I am so passionate about layout designs, I just love everything about them.
The Youth Day poster was designed ahead of the Youth Day which is celebrated on the 12th of March here in my home country (Zambia). The idea was to design something modern, trendy & relevant to today's youths who're so much in to fashion.
The  'Red Sun' is fiction poster whose inspiration I got from the book of Acts 2:20 which basically talks about some of the signs that will accompany the end of the world. I blended in my creativity hence the outcome.
Sivintu is a popular Zambian slang word widely used by teens and youths. It's a word which when directly translated into English means 'Not things'. It has a both negative & positive connotations to it depending on the nature of the topic.
Don't ask me about the butterflies! Lol..Well I love butterflies and couldn't resist using them in this particular design. I loved the outcome of everything.
1964 is a year we gained our independence as a country and I thought how cool it would be to give this particular poster a retro feel and look in honour of 1964.
Seize your day! I did this poster on a Tuesday, the message is quite simple. Make today count, once it's gone it will never come back.
Day 5 of my poster design challenge happened to be Wednesday and so I had to do something related to it.
